Effective January 15, 2025, the Tata Neu HDFC Bank Credit Card will implement a revised benefit structure for NeuPass Membership rewards. Under this update, only the primary cardholder will be eligible to earn an additional 5% NeuCoins on select categories for transactions completed using the Tata Neu HDFC Bank Credit Cards. This is valid for both Tata Neu Plus and Tata Neu Infinity Credit Card.
Here are the proposed changes to the 5% benefit with NeuPass membership.
- To avail of the additional 5% NeuCoins benefit, the primary cardholder must log in to the Tata Neu app or website using the mobile number registered during the credit card application process.
- Transactions must be completed using the Tata Neu HDFC Bank Credit Cards to qualify for the benefit.
- It may take up to 45 working days from the date of card issuance for the NeuPass Membership to be activated on the mobile number provided in the credit card application.
- Transactions made before enrollment in the NeuPass Membership program will not qualify for the additional NeuCoins benefit.
- Cardholders are advised to check the Tata Neu app or website regularly for the latest terms and conditions related to eligible categories.
Bottom Line
Starting from January 15th, only primary credit cards will be eligible to earn an additional 5% in NeuCoins on purchases made with Tata Neu HDFC Credit Cards through the Tata Neu app. This change complicates the payment and calculation process for cardholders. Additionally, add-on Tata Neu HDFC Credit Cards that previously earned this benefit will no longer earn the extra 5% in NeuCoins as part of their membership advantages.
While it may be too extreme to label this change as a devaluation, it certainly makes the rewards process with Tata Neu HDFC Credit Cards more complicated.
