The Axis MyZone Credit Card has been one of the bank’s most popular entry-level credit cards, largely because it is widely offered as a lifetime free card and comes with several lifestyle benefits. The card provides perks such as complimentary airport lounge access and brand offers like discounts on Swiggy, making it a decent option for beginners starting their credit journey.
One of its key benefits has been the renewal of a SonyLIV subscription on achieving milestone spends in a card anniversary year. However, this benefit will be discontinued starting 1 April 2026.
Going forward, cardholders who achieve ₹1.5 lakh in spends during a card anniversary year will instead receive 1,000 EDGE Reward Points. Earlier, the SonyLIV membership was offered both as a joining and renewal benefit, but with this revision, the renewal benefit has now been removed.
Bottom Line
While the card will continue to remain lifetime free with a few lifestyle perks, the change significantly reduces the value of the milestone benefit. The SonyLIV subscription earlier offered on achieving ₹1.5 lakh spends was valued at around ₹1,499, whereas the new reward of 1,000 EDGE Reward Points is worth only about ₹200 (at ₹0.20 per point).
As a result, the milestone reward on the Axis MyZone Credit Card now offers considerably lower value than before.
