Most of the top credit cards in our country offer complimentary airport lounge access to cardholders. This is a very sought-after feature, especially by people who regularly travel to domestic and international locations. Axis Bank credit cards offered complimentary lounge access at both domestic and international terminals across India. However, now the bank has reduced the number of airport lounges accessible through its credit cards from 1st June 2023.

Now, lounge access will not be offered at any international terminals at airports across India. This is a sad news for many cardholders who do not have premium credit cards that offer a complimentary Priority Pass membership. Read further to know more about this.

Add-On cardholders do not get a Priority Pass membership, except for the Axis Bank Reserve credit card. The Magnus cardholders will have to use their 8 complimentary guest visits per year, in case there are accompanying guests. For other cards, the cardholder will have to pay the full lounge charges for accompanying guests.

Conclusion

Complimentary lounge access at domestic and international airport terminals is one of the top and most-wanted credit card features. Many individuals who frequent travel by air can save a lot of money through the lounge access, and have a comfortable, relaxing time while waiting for their flight.

Most Axis Bank credit cards offered lounge access to the cardholders, but as stated above, the lounge access is now only valid at domestic terminals across India from 1st June. Cardholders won’t be unable to access lounges at international terminals with their credit cards. It is a huge downgrade for most individuals who hold popular credit cards like Flipkart Axis Bank and My Zone credit card.

People who have credit cards that offer complimentary Priority Pass membership can use it to access lounges at international terminals, but the privilege is not applicable to others. Let us know your thoughts regarding this change by Axis Bank.
