AmEx Travel Offer: Earn Taj/Air India Voucher and 3X Reward Points on Travel Spends

American Express has come up with an attractive travel offer for its credit card customers under which American Express credit cardholders can earn Taj Vouchers or Air India Vouchers along with accelerated 3X Membership Rewards Points on travel spends with their eligible American Express credit card. The AmEx travel offer is valid from 3rd December 2021 to 15th January 2022.

Offer Details

Under this travel offer, American Express Credit Cardholders are entitled to-

• complimentary Taj/Air India voucher on spending a certain minimum amount (different for every customer) with their American Express credit card during the offer period (exact offer benefit intimated via an email sent to the card issuer). Some cardholders will earn Air India Voucher worth Rs. 1,500 on travel spends on a minimum of Rs. 25,000 during the offer period, while many other American Express cardholders will earn Taj Voucher worth Rs. 4,000 on a minimum travel expenditure of Rs. 50,000 with the card.
• 3X Membership Rewards Points (up to max 5,000 Membership Rewards Points) on overseas spends with the card during the offer period.

This travel offer is valid from 3rd December 2021 to 15th January 2022 and is applicable only on select American Express Credit Cards (applicable only if the cardholder received a formal intimation from American Express regarding the offer).

Offer Terms and Conditions

• The offer is applicable only on select American Express credit cards. Customers with an eligible credit card are intimated by American Express regarding the offer via email.
• It is mandatory for the cardmember to enroll for the offer in order to avail of the offer benefit.
• A maximum of 5,000 bonus Memebrship Rewards Points can be earned under the offer.
• The offer is valid from 3rd December 2021 to 15th January 2022.
• The bonus Membership Rewards Points and the Taj/Air India Voucher earned under the offer shall be credited by 15th May 2022.
• The Taj/Air India Voucher earned under the offer will have a validity of 180 days from the date of issuance.
• Eligible travel spends to be considered under the offer include spends on holidays, flights, trains, hotels, Bed and Breakfasts, cabs and bus categories.

Bottom Line

Although American Express is currently barred from issuing new credit cards by RBI, the issuer is offering lucrative offers to its exiting cardholders, probably to retain its customer base. Just a couple of days ago, American Express launched another Taj voucher offer under which Platinum cardholders can earn Taj Voucher up to Rs. 15,000.
